Latin America and the Caribbean faces a complex food security and nutrition scenario, marked by the coexistence of hunger, food insecurity, and the rising prevalence of overweight and obesity among school-aged children. In response to these challenges, School Feeding Programmes (SFPs) have become one of the most effective public policies for guaranteeing the right to adequate food and promoting more sustainable agrifood systems.
In this context, the Sustainable School Feeding Network (RAES) officially presents the RAES Regional Agenda: for Sustainable School Feeding in Latin America and the Caribbean 2026–2030 , a strategic instrument developed collaboratively by member countries to strengthen School Feeding Programmes across the region.
This milestone reflects nearly two decades of Brazil-FAO Trilateral South-South Cooperation on school feeding, promoted by Brazil and FAO, and consolidates a shared roadmap towards more sustainable, inclusive, and resilient agrifood systems in Latin America and the Caribbean.
