The Sustainable School Feeding Network (RAES) will hold the II RAES Exhibition – RAES Regional Agenda (2026–2030): initiatives and solutions to advance towards sustainable school feeding on 1 October, in celebration of World Food Day, commemorated by FAO. This virtual event is organized within the framework of the Brazil–FAO Trilateral South-South Cooperation Programme and will feature experiences from RAES member countries.
The II RAES Exhibition aims to share initiatives and solutions adopted by countries to strengthen the seven approaches of the RAES Regional Agenda: healthy diets, management and governance, food, nutrition and environmental education, public procurement from family farming, regulatory frameworks, financing, and monitoring and evaluation.
Focal points of RAES member countries have until 14 August to confirm their interest by sending an email to RAES.
Participants are invited to submit short videos (maximum 3 minutes) addressing topics such as technologies used for monitoring and evaluation of school feeding programmes, innovative pedagogical practices in food and nutrition education, environmental solutions, regulatory frameworks that have advanced school feeding programmes, digital applications related to school feeding, public procurement from family farming, the inclusion of fish in school feeding, innovative financing mechanisms, and other initiatives or experiences they believe deserve to be shared.
RAES looks forward to receiving contributions from its 18 member countries: Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Suriname, and Uruguay.
Video formats
- Option 1: Record a new video showcasing the good practice, innovations, solutions, evidence, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Option 2: Adapt an existing video about a successful initiative by incorporating information on the good practice, innovations, solutions, evidence, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Option 3: Deliver a recorded presentation supported by visual materials (PowerPoint, images, or videos), highlighting the good practice, innovations, solutions, evidence, challenges, and lessons learned.
Recognition for participation:
- Recognition plaque to be sent to participating countries.
- Digital certificate.
- Systematization and dissemination of the experiences in a digital publication.
- Promotion through regional and national communication channels.

The RAES is jointly implemented by the Brazilian National Fund for Educational Development (FNDE) and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC), with the Executive Secretariat provided by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The Network comprises 18 member countries.
