With the intention of compiling details on the development of School Feeding Programmes (SFP) in the countries of the region, the Brazil-FAO Cooperation has created the Maturity Analysis of the SFP (AMPAE) for Latin America and the Caribbean, a tool for diagnosis and detailed analysis of the SFP development processes in each of the participating countries of RAES/LAC. It will take into account the specificities of the national governments and respect the sovereignty of each country.
The AMPAE aims to
- Strengthen the joint construction of the regional school feeding agenda in this region.
- Demonstrate progress and achievements.
- Identify issues that need further attention and new actions at national and regional levels.
- Guide the technical support activities of the RAES.
The event, which will take place on 16 September at 10:30 a.m. (Barbados time), aims to present the objectives, methodology and expected results of the initiative, as well as to meet countries interested in implementing this action, which will start with 5 countries in 2024.
AMPAE will help the countries to identify priorities, challenges and opportunities, while Brazil-FAO International Cooperation and RAES will be in charge of defining the necessary support.
