The study “Analysis of indicators on the Progress in School Feeding Programmes,” titled AMPAE, carried out by the Sustainable School Feeding Network (RAES), is inviting countries from Latin America and the Caribbean to participate in its second edition in 2025.
The first edition of the study aimed to gain in-depth knowledge of school feeding in six countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. It is an innovative tool designed to strengthen the implementation of school feeding programmes through evidence-based insights on topics and actions requiring greater attention. The findings will be published in a regional report currently under design.
The following countries participated in the first edition: Belize, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, and the Dominican Republic.
The main objectives of the study include:
- Present evidence on issues and actions within school feeding programs in LAC that require greater attention from national-level managers and other stakeholders at the regional and global levels.
- Design and apply a diagnostic tool with indicators to analyze the outcomes and progress of each participating country.
- Develop recommendations to guide RAES technical support activities.
- Provide input for the joint construction, with member countries, of the regional school feeding agenda in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Propose new actions at the national and regional levels.
Countries interested in participating in the second edition of AMPAE are invited to send an email to redraes@redraes.org.
