On World Food Day, RAES encourages reflection on a topic of great importance for public policy: financing. We value knowledge generation and, on this occasion, we are sharing a panel from the ‘PAE en Foco 2025’ exchange cycle, offered to 14 countries, in which experts from different areas addressed various perspectives on this key issue for the advancement of school feeding in the region.
The panel included the participation of:
- Saulo Ceolin, general coordinator of food and nutrition security at the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and co-coordinator of the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty
- Matias Reeves, regional resource mobilization expert at the FAO Office in Latin America and the Caribbean
- Sarah Kohnstamm, Regional Advisor for Social Protection and School Meals, World Food Programme, Regional Office in Panama
- Luis Lobo, Coordinator of the Project in support of the Hunger-Free Latin America and Caribbean Initiative
- Mediation: Najla Veloso, executive secretary of the Sustainable School Food Network (RAES) and senior school feeding specialist
