PNAE Brazil National Meeting 2025

The National Meeting of PNAE will bring together around 1,500 participants, including managers, nutritionists, school feeding counselors and experts, to discuss the construction of the Brazilian School Feeding Policy on February 4 and 5.

The event will be attended by the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the First Lady, Janja Lula da Silva, the Minister of Education, Camilo Santana, and the president of the National Fund for Educational Development (FNDE), Fernanda Pacobahyba.

Program highlights:

  • Official opening with national leaders
  • Panels and debates on food security, financing and equity
  • Design thinking workshops for innovative solutions in school feeding

On February 5, the event will feature the participation of the Executive Secretariat of the Sustainable School Feeding Network (RAES), represented by its executive secretary and senior specialist in school feeding, Najla Veloso, who will be part of the panel “PNAE: Building international networks, South-South cooperation and promoting Food and Nutrition Security in the global environment”, in the afternoon shift. The discussion will address the importance of international cooperation in school feeding and food and nutritional security, as well as the difference that the RAES has made in the Latin American and Caribbean region since its implementation.
