Bras\u00edlia, 6 November 2025 \u2013 The 2025 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), hosted by Brazil, brings together world leaders, experts, and organizations to drive global action against climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each year, a different country hosts this meeting, whose main goal is to find ways to implement the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. This document was adopted in 1992 by several countries to stabilize the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main objective of the COP is to define the necessary measures to limit the increase in the planet\u2019s temperature to 1.5\u00b0C by the end of this century, accelerating the implementation of what was agreed upon at previous COPs \u2014 particularly the 2015 Paris Conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around 50,000 people are expected to attend, including country delegates, negotiators, journalists, and 15,000 representatives from social movements, who will take part in parallel discussions at the People\u2019s Summit. The leaders of the participating countries also gathered in Bel\u00e9m for the COP30 Heads of State Summit, which took place before the official program, on 6 and 7 November.
