The virtual meeting took place on April 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting is part of an ongoing exchange cycle between the governments of Paraguay and Brazil, supported by FAO Paraguay and RAES.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The session focused on showcasing Paraguay\u2019s progress. During the meeting, Paraguayan authorities explained that the SIAE system was built progressively, following the evolution of the school feeding programme itself. Paraguay\u2019s Vice Minister of Social Development, Carlos Par\u00eds, noted that the tool was consolidated through practical implementation and benefited from lessons learned in cooperation spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"527\" src=\"https:\/\/redraes.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/paraguay-1024x527.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31714\" srcset=\"https:\/\/redraes.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/paraguay-1024x527.png 1024w, https:\/\/redraes.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/paraguay-300x154.png 300w, https:\/\/redraes.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/paraguay-768x395.png 768w, https:\/\/redraes.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/paraguay-1536x791.png 1536w, https:\/\/redraes.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/paraguay.png 1739w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt is a system that we developed over time, based on everything we learned through these exchanges,\u201d he said. He highlighted that SIAE currently enables the integration of systems across different institutions, facilitating interoperability and real-time access to information, which strengthens decision-making and the monitoring of the school feeding programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rebeca Ch\u00e1vez, Director of Planning for Development at Paraguay\u2019s Ministry of Social Development (MDS), placed the initiative within the context of the Zero Hunger Programme and emphasized that the digitalization process aims to improve the efficiency of processes that were previously manual. According to her, SIAE has become \u201cthe backbone\u201d of the programme\u2019s implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She also highlighted interinstitutional coordination through thematic working groups that help standardize procedures and streamline the flow of information. From FAO Paraguay, Programme Assistant Fabiola Alcorta described the school feeding programme as \u201cemblematic\u201d for the country and stressed the importance of exchange spaces. \u201cSharing experiences allows us to highlight good practices and learn from other contexts,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Karine Santos, General Coordinator of Brazil\u2019s National School Feeding Programme (PNAE), congratulated Paraguay on the system\u2019s comprehensive approach. She noted that the tool enables continuous monitoring, evaluation, and adjustment of public policy. \u201cIt is a robust system, integrating multiple data sources, which is essential for review and feedback processes. This work can serve as a reference for other countries,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Representing the RAES Executive Secretariat, Najla Veloso emphasized that such initiatives reflect the network\u2019s purpose. \u201cThis is why we exist: to support countries\u2019 progress and promote the exchange of experiences so that we can move forward together,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, FAO Nutrition Officer Israel R\u00edos also praised the development of Paraguay\u2019s system and stressed that the experience should be shared regionally. \u201cWe should not miss the opportunity to showcase this progress,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting brought together representatives and professionals from Paraguay\u2019s Ministries of Education (MEC), Social Development (MDS), and Information and Communication Technologies (MITIC), as well as FAO Paraguay, FAO-SLM, Brazil\u2019s National Fund for Educational Development (FNDE), the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC), and the Secretariat of the Sustainable School Feeding Network (RAES).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The meeting is part of an ongoing exchange cycle being carried out by the governments of Paraguay and Brazil, with the support of FAO Paraguay and RAES.
