Brasilia, Brazil, November 2, 2023 – The Sustainable School Feeding Network (RAES) and the project Consolidation of School Feeding Programmes in Latin America and the Caribbean, executed within the framework of Brazil-FAO Cooperation, were highlighted on the global South-South Galaxy platform, a knowledge-sharing space supported by the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC).
RAES is implemented jointly by the Brazilian Cooperation Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (ABC/MRE), the National Fund for Educational Development of the Ministry of Education (FNDE/MEC), and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), which also carry out the school feeding project of the Brazil-FAO International Cooperation Programme.
Among the highlights of the publication on these initiatives are the Sustainable Schools methodology, the virtual platform of RAES, and cooperation with countries in the region to strengthen and consolidate school feeding programmes.
The South-South Galaxy serves as a consolidated platform for South-South solutions for partners and the UN system, connecting existing South-South knowledge-sharing platforms, facilitating access, navigation, and usage by partners. It also allows users to access a wide range of knowledge, solutions, research, partners, and capacity development initiatives.
