Since 12 June 2023, the course has been running for Educating for healthy and sustainable school environments in Peru – Healthy Life 2023which is offered in the framework of the Brazil-FAO International Cooperation, in coordination with the PNAEQW and with the technical-academic support of the National College of Nutritionists of Peru and the College of Engineers of Peru.
There are 1813 registered students, 80% are teachers and directors who are part of the School Feeding Committees – CAE of the PNAE Qali Warma, and 20% of the participants are Qali Warma staff. The contents addressed were organised in 3 modules covering: Food and Nutrition Education, Education for the Promotion of Good Habits for a Healthy Life and the School Garden as an Educational Strategy.
In the framework of the International Mission Sustainable Schools Peru, organised by FAO-Peru and the Brazil-FAO Cooperation, which took place from 14 to 17 August and was framed by meetings with authorities, knowledge exchange and field visits, there will also be space for the closing of the course on 17 August. The event will be attended by the teachers participating in the course, representatives of the countries that make up the RAES in Latin America, representatives of FAO Peru, FAO Brazil, the Government of Brazil and the Government of Peru.
