Final event of the project “Consolidation of School Feeding Programmes in Latin America and the Caribbean”.

In the framework of the Brazil-FAO International Cooperation Programme, the Brazilian Cooperation Agency of the Ministry of External Relations (ABC/MRE), the National Fund for Educational Development of the Ministry of Education (FNDE/MEC) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), through the Sustainable School Feeding Network, organized the closing event of the project “Consolidation of School Feeding Programmes in Latin America and the Caribbean. The event “School Feeding in Latin America and the Caribbean – history and perspectives” was held in the city of Brasília in Brazil on 13-14 November 2023.

Considering the progress made in the area of school feeding in the region, it is recognized the need to disseminate the achievements made and to continue to meet the demand of the countries by supporting the consolidation of a regional school feeding agenda through the expansion of actions and territorial expansion of the RAES to other countries in the region.

Therefore, on the occasion, the Government of Brazil announced the new cycle of the Brazil-FAO International Cooperation in school feeding, implemented in the framework of the RAES. The target audience of the event was school feeding managers, government decision-makers and professionals involved in school feeding policy in Brazil and other countries.
